Graduation 2012

What is there to say...? It has been a long time coming! Finally...
I can say I am a graduate of the University of Utah!

1st Anniversary & a Birthday!!

March has turned into a very busy month for us. March includes mom's birthday, Harris' birthday, Hana's birthday, Marcie's birthday, and our anniversary (not to mention midterms!).  H said if we have a kid we have to make sure that he/she will not be born in March!

Last Friday was Mama Jill's Birthday. We were lucky enough to snag some tickets to a pre-opening dinner for the new Cheesecake Factory at City Creek. So H and I took mom and Nan out for her birthday dinner.

To celebrate our ONE YEAR anniversary H and I went up to Midway to spend the night at an awesome B&B: Johnson Mill. It was so nice to relax and get a mini vacation from normal life. I still cannot believe that we have been married an entire year. It seems like just yesterday we were getting ready for the wedding. Where does the time go?!?! I can say that this has been the best year of my life!

Driving Up to Midway (this is the face that he gives me when I tell him to smile)!!

Johnson Mill. Lovely.

Balcony off our room (it was a lot prettier after the snow storm).

The loft in our room. If I ever build a house I want a "reading loft".

Dinner- best churros ever!

One year ago, on March 18th, 2011, I married the most wonderful man in the world.
I fall more in love with him every day.
He is my best friend.
He knows me and he gets me.
He makes me smile.
He makes me happier than I ever imagined I could be.
I love my husband and he loves me.

I can't wait to see what the next year holds for us...

Jazz Game and Superbowl!!!

This last weekend was so much fun! Friday night we went to Wise Guys with our cute friends Felly and Greg and saw Ryan Hamilton- he is hilarious!
Saturday we went to the Jazz vs. Lakers game and it was awesome. Jazz kicked some L.A. Laker butt! It was a good game because it was back and forth all night and we got to see a fist fight up close and personal! Yup that's right, Jazz Fan vs. Laker Fan got in a fist fight 2 rows in front of us! Nutty!
... oh and I got a churro which made the game all that much better!
Then we had a chill Superbowl Sunday with the fam. It was fun just to hang out in our PJ's and eat junk food all day. Too bad the Patriots lost, but lets be honest Tom Brady still went home to Gisele, who's the real winner here???

Me and my baby! Go Jazz!

Harris in is 49ers jersey- ya babe we all wish they were there!

Superbowl Sunday!!! Love it!

Holiday Recap!

I can't believe the holiday season has already come and gone! I swear it arrives sooner and becomes shorter every year. It's not fair! Anyway, we had a great time these past few weeks. Here are some pictures of us and how we spent our holiday's!

Christmas Day:
This year Harris and I did Christmas Eve at our house with Mama Jill. Mom usually has a big party on Christmas Eve, but she was feeling a little under the weather and didn't have the time or energy to do it this year. So we decided to play it low key and have a quite dinner with her, the Griswold's, and our 3 ft. tree.
Christmas morning we opened presents and had breakfast at Mom's with our cute Santa Pup. Later we traveled to Aunt Lee Ann's house and had dinner with Nan and all the cousins!

Anniversary Dinner:
Once a month Harris and I try to do a special dinner to celebrate our anniversary. It was his idea to do this for the first year of our marriage. We try to do it on the actual date (the 18th), but it doesn't always work out that way. We ended up missing November all together and didn't get to December till the 30th. So, we decided to go for a little extra "bang" and go to Tuscany! Let me just say... it was delicious!
The picture on the left is a Christmas Tree that was made entirely out of glass. It was really beautiful and very interesting, like something out of Alice in Wonderland,  but you can hardly see it in this horrible iPhone pic.

New Years Day:
Welcome 2012! Harris' parents had a big party on Sunday to celebrate the new year. It is always fun to dress up in our fancy clothes and show them off. Even Harris and Zuhaib got into it..... umm...

The Griswold's Ain't Got Nuthin' on Us!

This past weekend was the annual Birrell Family Christmas Party and I must admit it may have been the best yet! This year Mitz decided to make it an ugly sweater party, but of course the fam didn't stop at just sweaters. When the Birrell's do something, they don't just do it half-way, they do it ALL THE WAY!!
I love my family!

Our rockin' Christmas sweaters!

Diji loves her Poinsettia sweater.

Kerry or Cousin Eddie? Yes, he is wearing a Dickie!
