Boston: Part 1

The hubs and I were able to take a trip to Boston this past week! We had so much fun. We started planning a vacation a few months back and we were first trying to figure out where to go. Our top 3 choices were Florida, Seattle, or Boston. We decided to go to the place that neither of us had been before, which was Boston.  I am a huge history buff and have always wanted to go Boston and Harris loves big cities and all the Halal Cuisine they have to offer. So, here are some of our pics from the trip....
Enjoy!

Laundry Room

So I have a new house to decorate with a bunch of rooms that are a lot more seen and used than the laundry room, but for some reason I just really want to decorate it!!! I love it when laundry rooms are decorated- it just adds so much to a home. Anyway, here are some super cute ideas that I would love to incorporate into my house someday.
Love the shelf and that it is actually decorated!

Obsessed with this rug- OBSESSED!
I want my laundry room to look like this...

Love the little sign...
See how decorated this is? I need to add shelves to my LR I think...

Halloween-ing the Home

I absolutely LOVE Halloween! I just love autumn, October, the colors, the clothes.... EVERYTHING!
And including all that I love to decorate for Halloween and fall too!
So this year I decided to get my craft on and decorate the casa.
Getting my craft on I made the ribbon candy corn, the burlap wreath, and the bunting.
All inspired and thanks to my Pinterest account (yes I am obsessed)!

10 Books I Should Have Read in College

So I have a feeling that I have missed out on reading some great books in my college or high school career. People are always talking about the famous classics that unfortunately I never read. I plan on starting on my list as soon as I am done with the third book from the Hunger Games trilogy (which is amazing by the way, and you should read ASAP).

And here it is:

1. The Catcher in the Rye
J. D. Salinger

2. Jane Eyre
Charlotte Brontë

3. Lord of the Flies
William Golding

4. Animal Farm
George Orwell

5. The Grapes of Wrath
John Steinbeck

6. Vanity Fair
William Thackeray

7. Pride and Prejudice
Jane Austen

8. Lolita
Vladimir Nabokov

9. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
 Mark Twain

10. The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald

California Adventure

Last weekend the hubs and I went to Southern California for his good friends wedding. It was a lot of fun, because we got to go with six other of our good friends. We were able to attend a party, hang out in Newport, drove the PCH, went to the San Diego Zoo, and went to a fabulous wedding!
Unfortunately I had a little cold the whole time, but that didn't stop us from eating 130 hot wings or spending 3 hours at the at South Coast Plaza.
