Santa, I Have Been Very Good This Year!!!

Finals are OVER!!! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! I am so relieved to have them over and done with. I am so happy that my professors are on the ball, because I already got some of the grades back and I did pretty darn good this semester... So that means....

Dear Santa,
Because I am on the nice list please review the list below :)

1. Kolja Mirror, Ikea
2. Astrid Wall Lamp, Ikea
3. Leksvik Desk (vanity table), Ikea
4. Paper Cutter, (any store/ any brand- just a nice one)
5. Tunic Sweater in "Cool Earth", Express
6. Nils Stool, Ikea
7. Combined Court Shoe, Zara

(if you can't tell I really want to set up my vanity area)

Ahhh! I can't believe Christmas is only 10 days away!

Master Bedroom

I really want to finish decorating our master bedroom. I have started with the basics: bedding, furniture, rug, mirror.... and that's about where it ends {insert sad face here}. I am doing our room in gray, purple, and black. I really want to incorporate a little bit of a yellow or green too- just to add a little pop.

These are some additions I really want to incorporate (once school is out that is)....

1. Vanity Table
I want one that doesn't have a mirror mounted to the back. This is because
most of the tables that do come with a mirror the mirror are tiny!
I would buy a separate mirror and mount it to the wall, instead.
Ikea

2. Purple Wallpaper Accent Wall
I really want to do one wall, the wall that our bed is on, in wallpaper.
YES, wallpaper is BACK people! Once, I have some free time I am going to start
looking for the perfect purple wallpaper. I then want to paint the other 3 walls light a gray.

3. White "Reading" Chair.
I really want to get a chair to go in the corner of our room. It has be comfy, though,
because this will be my reading chair. I would accent the chair with a gray throw
and a purple toss pillow.

4. Green Calla Lily
As I mentioned before I want to add a bit of pop to our room. I think bright
green lilies in purple vases would do the trick!

5. Purple Vases
I love these vases and they would be perfect on our dresser, which is quite bare right now.

6. Crystal Lamp with Gray Shade
Right now we have some really cheap lamps from Ikea on our bedside tables.
I picked them out when we first moved in last spring, for that very reason...
They were cheap. And now I HATE them. I would love to have these lovelies instead!
Target

7. Small Side Table
I saw this table online and fell in love with it. I initially wanted to find a
yellow one that I had seen at Ikea, but they no longer make the one I wanted.
This one would be perfect right next to my "reading" chair.
And it adds that pop of color I am looking to add (it is lime green, but looks yellow in the pic).

Ps. If Harris had his way, this would be the only addition to our bedroom....

Laundry Room

So I have a new house to decorate with a bunch of rooms that are a lot more seen and used than the laundry room, but for some reason I just really want to decorate it!!! I love it when laundry rooms are decorated- it just adds so much to a home. Anyway, here are some super cute ideas that I would love to incorporate into my house someday.
Love the shelf and that it is actually decorated!

Obsessed with this rug- OBSESSED!
I want my laundry room to look like this...

Love the little sign...
See how decorated this is? I need to add shelves to my LR I think...

Halloween-ing the Home

I absolutely LOVE Halloween! I just love autumn, October, the colors, the clothes.... EVERYTHING!
And including all that I love to decorate for Halloween and fall too!
So this year I decided to get my craft on and decorate the casa.
Getting my craft on I made the ribbon candy corn, the burlap wreath, and the bunting.
All inspired and thanks to my Pinterest account (yes I am obsessed)!

Back to the blog world....

I have decided to come back... back from a long summer of being lazy! I initially started this blog as a wedding blog. This was to keep my family and friends updated on all the happenings with the "mixed" wedding.  Now I think I will continue to keep it going (who knows if anyone actually reads this or not) and blog about us and what we are up to.

So recently, I have become obsessed with anything DIY! I have found such great tutorials and ideas- thanks to blog stalking and Pinterest! I don't know what it is....because I haven't ever been crafty before.... Maybe it's owning my own home or maybe it is the "being married, living in Kaysville syndrome" that is rubbing off on me. Whatever it is I am having a lot of fun with it!

Here is one of my oh-so-crafty-projects....

I found mis-matched frames at D.I. and painted them all white. Then I found yellow, gray, and white scrapbook paper, that matched our guest room.... and TA-DA! All of which cost me about $12!

I got the idea from this adorable nursery.
